A letter consists essentially of dots and lines and philosophically,  people communicate through these simple man-made symbols.  Japanese calligrapher Aoi Yamaguchi explores new possibilities for the ancient art of calligraphy - juxtaposing traditional with contemporary styles. www.glamourousmonochrome.com

Blackberry Mimosas at the Guerilla Cafe?

102 Damn right!!! After 2-long-years in the application process we have finally obtained a beer/wine license and are now deemed responsible enough to be serving up Blackberry and Grapefruit Mimosas (champagne cocktail).  Stay tuned for an expanded menu of grown up drink specials in the near future.

As we approach our 3rd year anniversary in business as Guerilla Cafe we want to take a moment to give thanks to all who have supported us in establishing ourselves.  A special shout out to our amazing staff who bring so much flavor and Camaraderie to the cafe.  Thank you to all of our suppliers from Harold our linen service guy at Da House of Suds to Blue Bottle Coffee Co whose delicious beans still bring in new customers to ceramist Noelle Nakama who hand crafts our beautiful latte bowls to all of the exhibiting artists, musicians, and djs who have blessed our space with their talent to our electrician O.G. Woody Johnson who keeps our juice flowing.  Far too many to list here but we must also say thank you to all of our "regulars" who keep us afloat.  Thank you, thank you, thank you all.

In a month long celebration of our May Day anniversary we will feature a new art exhibition, a local singer/songwriter, premier a new indie film, host a breast cancer awareness event as well as our 3rd Guerilla Games an evening of board games and good clean fun.  In honor of International Workers Day (May Day) we will be closed on May 1, 2009.
