On the Verge of Dating White Girls

Dwight Howard sues his baby mama for $500 million!?!?!

You know, I really like to think that I can be a good judge of character and in the same light I've always seen Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard as a "nice guy." He smiles a lot and everybody on his team seems to vouch for him as a funny and likable guy...

He just seems to be a cool dude. I just get that feeling. Plus, he's rich. I'm saying, you really gotta go out your way to be an ass when you've made millions playing basketball (I'm aware that some players have achieved this asshole feat--but not all) but D. Howard just seems to be enjoying life.

Additionally, I can imagine that if you had millions in your bank account the world would be at your fingers when it came to you and your son, right?

And let me add, if a brother had millions I would hope that he 'd break the baby's moms off just so his son/child could live a good life, right?

Unfortunately the world doesn't seem to turn is those directions all the time, and sometimes even the nicest guy can go ballistic.

I'm saying, why else would D. Howard sue his baby's mama for 500 million?

Possibly because she has pushed him to the point where he really wants to slap her... Instead he appears to be slapping her with his wallet. Yes, there is a point/edge/verge in every man and unfortunately some women strive to push a brother there.

No, I don't know the details, but I could imagine from first hand experience.

Can't we all just get along as parents?  Meaning: Can't we just agree to parent cordially and move in our own directions? Why must there be tension between the 2 people a child loves (or should love) the most?

Yup, I've seen the dark side, and it ain't pretty. If I had a high powered lawyer to sue my oldest son's mother's I'm sure I would. But I wouldn't do it if we could just co-parent.

To make it plain: I ain't seen my son in 3 months, and it ain't because I've been dodging him, or because I beat him etc... It's because his mother has the ability to sit back and condone him not coming for whatever 13-year-old reason he believes in right now.

To say the least, I'm hurt/angry/and disappointed that his mother would stoop so low to even allow my son to excommunicate me on her watch.

This is where you think of how much of an asshole DPM is... And sure I got some asshole in me (we all do), but I've worked really hard to put that to the side when it comes to my son. I've always been there for him in any way possible.

But now my son doesn't return my mother's calls, nor does he speak with anyone in my family? Grandma? Really? Wow.....

All I'm saying is that this is bigger than me, which allows me to see the possible bigger scenario in the D. Howard situation. 

Overall, it stems from one dysfunction: our inability to communicate with sensitivity regarding the child involved.

In Howard's case he has more money than the general rest of us... I think Biggie Smalls said it best, "Mo' money, mo' problems." So this isn't just a typical blemish that goes unseen by the world--like my family court battles.  But this is an ugly pimple for the world to see how us black parents get along.

I remember hearing an old Too Short interview about 20 years ago, and he said something to the extent, "I say what you wish you could say...I say it for you." And I remember thinking, "He's kinda right." Artist in general have a way of expressing things in ways that we can't and in doing so they get that much more closer to the essence of what we mean--beyond our words. Howard Sterns wife sends an ass sext

Since she became the wife of Howard Stern in 2007 Beth changed last name to “Ostrosky-Stern” and the 38 year-wifey apparently knows how to keep her body nice and the flames going in the bedroom.

She sent Howard this pic via her cell phone and then Howard (with her consent) posted it on his radio show site. The site got so much traffic it was shut down... So the best I could do is put it on "The Verge" and give her the honor of "White Girl of The Week!" You go girl!!!

I had the time of my life with yo' wife! AKA "The Fall Guy" post

You know, I've been holding back as if there was room to do so on "The Verge." But no, it ain't. It's only room to wiggle in the truth of the matter, and the really is a reality I don't pursue, but it's hard to avoid YOUR WIFE.

You would think that you married her to live happily ever after, and maybe you really think that, but I'm the single guy who sees the other side: your wife away from you.

Let's just I'm the "Fall Guy." You know, I'm the friend from way back. We used to go out, but we broke up back in the days before you--for whatever lightweight reason--and we've stayed either "cool," or your wife's "weakness," or I am the guy who's been romantically suspended long before life and relationships got complex--again, before or after you.

Yes, I effortlessly exist. But it's not me you should be mad at. Your wife calls me! She Yahoo IM's, Google Chats, FaceBook "Pokes" ME. Trust me. She has a knack for tuning her radar to find me available. It might be just a moment, a lunch date, an email (you got to watch us writers lol)... Whatever it is, SHE finds me, and I gotta say, "I had the time of my LIFE with your WIFE!"

On some levels, I really want to let you know face to face, but I know you wouldn't understand. You'd try to kill me and completely overlook the real culprit: YOUR WIFE! Plus, I don't even know you...

But please know that although she craves my company and affection, she's still more loyal to you. In fact, I don't even look for her to be loyal to me because she keeps going back to you--and she's sneaky enuff about her escapades so that she doesn't outwardly embarrass you.  On the real, besides her, I think I'm the only one that knows about "US." I mean she might tell her sister or her best friend, but if she does it's because she's more loyal to them than you anyway.

It's kinda how she's just forever comfortable with me and once I surrendered to her years of pursuit and inability to let me go, I'm comfy with her too. It feels extra nice that whenever we link she has to quickly return to your crib. I love it. ...Even when your outta town, she has to at least go home and tend to the children. It saves my the energy to kick her out my spot or shake her from my coat tails.

But most of all, I just like her fall back attitude, then again, I am the "Fall Guy." So she must be my "Fall Woman." Actually, I would never make her my woman. She's better off in my book as your wife, partner, mother of your kids etc... For whatever reason it seems to work for me.

But in another light, I never thought that I'd be this forever single "Fall Guy." But it ain't that bad. It's adventurous. It's freedom. It's stress free!!!! Yes. That's it: No Stress!

But on the real, I'm surprised at her actions. I didn't expect her to be so sneaky and backstabbing. All I can say is, "I'm glad it ain't me.

In sum, I had the night of my life with your with in Bahia and all the way to the Bay. Each time she came surprisingly came running to me (I like surprises) and I had no idea where you where at... But what I do know is that she was with me before she went running back to you as the sun came up.

And when the sun came up I could still taste her strawberry kisses as I every time I swallowed. Damn.

With the exception of Khloe Kardashian, the Kardashians  Kim and Kourtney are banging. Just aske Reggie Bush, Ray J and the rest of the crew...

Nonetheless, Kim is just straight up "White Girl Fine." I can't lie. And to any girl that says she's "ugly," they're simply hating.

Johannes Mehserle and his gift of a verdict: 2nd Degree Involuntary Murder

At times it seems like the justice system is too complex and flawed for itself... Some things are no brainers for me. Johannes Mehserle took away the 22 years lived by Oscar, and the untold years of his future. We've all seen the video. If you pull a trigger and shoot someone dead, then you are a murderer. Do I think it was an accident? Honestly, I do... Nonetheless how do you punish a senseless crime such as this?

Personally, I think you gotta balance it out on this one. Mehserle took the life of a son, a nephew and a father in the form of Oscar Grant... And now Mehserle gets to go home in the foreseeable future to his own family. It must be nice.

Perhaps if someone accidentally shot  Mehserle, they too would be looking at a couple years...

In other light, during the past 19 months I've come connected to the Oscar grant family and trial. As a Oakland native it is a very sad moment for me to see justice move in a direction that does not satisfy the obvious, and it's a scarier moment for me as a parent of a 13-year-old black child... I am Oscar Grant.

It's a damn shame that I only know this woman because of her breast, but I hear she's an actress.  LOL

But then again, she ain't really white.....

Eryka Badu's "WIndow Seat" video

I think it's been about 3 months since I've been getting kinda anxious for Eryka Badu's new album to drop, "New Amerykah Part 2: The Return of the Ankh." Not only have I always enjoyed her music, but I think I was cast into hypnotic trance when her first album "Baduizm" dropped in 1997...

...Yeah, those were the days when I liked head wraps, detested dairy products and was completely open to the surge consciousness that seemed to be saturating the young Black 20 something's. Back then Badu gave us a breath of fresh air that only seemed to be musically smogged out in the coming years by DMX, R. Kelly, Ludacris and other like "musicians/artists" etc...

Even though Badu continued to make, music dropping 4 studio albums in 13 years, each time I anticipated her albums to propel some sorta movement contrary to the "Lil'WayneSnoopDoggLil'Jon" of the moment music.

Well, I coped her album today and I can at least say that this is classic Badu. I like it. And even though I want more than the 12 tracks + 1 Bonus Track via itunes offers, I'll gratefully take all of what she has to share.

In other light, the first single from her "New Amerykah Part 2: The Return of the Ankh" album "Window Seat" has stirred up a lot of attention on the internet.
It's bold. It's loud. It makes a statement that I can only associate with the courage of authentic character.

For starters she rolls up in a suicide door 1961-ish Lincoln Continental (much like the one Kennedy was riding in during his assassination) and takes a stroll along the same grassy knoll where Kennedy was shot and killed.

When did "Bitch" become acceptable radio vocabulary?

As I'm writing this I post I'm reminded that I was once a Young G on  the public bus transportation in Oakland when I first caught wind of the living legend Too Short. I only saw him once on the bus and he said that if anybody would pay him $20 he'd return the next day with a rap about any "bitch" we wanted.

I admit I was amused, interested, and eager to hear what he could come up with, but I didn't have $5 to spare. But my friend had a dual tape deck, and he had a copy of Too Short's single Female Funk and "Girl (that's your life)" which meant I was soon to have a dubbed copy of Sir Too Short as well....

In 1985 we were fascinated with Short. He talked about women in ways that I couldn't even imagine and the girls loved it!

I never understood that. All the young girls in the day would give Too Short a stamp of approval when his music was played (well not all of them--but most).

And I'm not sure how my mother caught wind of Too Short, but she did and she found ad destroyed my tape that I proudly labeled "Too Short" in felt pen. In fact all of my friends parents kinda did the same thing: Too Short was outlawed. And the only way we could listen to Too Short was in secrecy at a very low volume.

But never did I imagine Too Short yelling "Biatch" on the radio behind a transparent "bleep" or camouflaged sound... But 2 years later "Bitch" is all over the radio. Too many songs and artist to mention.

I admit, i used to get a real kick out of it, and I still fight an ebb and flow of comfort and discomfort when I hear it. But in the end I'm blaming Black women for the proliferation of the word BITCH.

I don't see white men hollarin "Bitch" in country music etc.., Black women you've let this get outta hand. Don't let Brothas call you "bitch." This abuse will continue as long as you let it!
